Des Moines Christian is 1-7 against Gilbert since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Tigers. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Des Moines Christian comes in on four and Gilbert on 18.

Des Moines Christian's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Grinnell by a score of 2-0. Des Moines Christian's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilbert). Everything went their way against Creston on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Gilbert, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 18-0-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those eight matchups. As for Des Moines Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Des Moines Christian came up short against Gilbert when the teams last played back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
