Baseball Game Preview: Delta Huskies vs. North Pole Patriots

Delta hasn't had much luck against North Pole recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Huskies will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Delta is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs last Saturday, they were much more limited against Monroe Catholic on Saturday. They lost 17-0 to the Rams.

Meanwhile, North Pole suffered their closest loss since May 3, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of Palmer by a score of 7-5.

Stephen J Langer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Ramey Sourapas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Channing Carlin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Delta now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Pole, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Delta suffered a grim 28-10 defeat to North Pole in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
