Baseball Recap: Treutlen Comes Up Short

Treutlen was the 13-3 winner over Portal when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Treutlen Vikings came up short against the Portal Panthers on Friday, falling 7-1.

Treutlen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Acie Dickens, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Treutlen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Portal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treutlen will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Portal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Portal, they will challenge Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
