Volleyball Recap: New Albany Victorious

New Albany lost to Homestead back in October of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 2-1.

Callie Loesch paced New Albany's offense, picking up 14 kills. Loesch got some help from Addi Vaughn and her 22 assists. Loesch also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kinley Bush, each putting up two.

New Albany's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 20-9.

New Albany wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Southwood on the 11th. As for Homestead, they will square off against Bellmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
