Soccer Game Preview: Unity Christian vs. Western Christian

The Unity Christian Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Western Christian Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Unity Christian had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt West Sioux on Monday. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 4-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Unity Christian sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Christian). They put the hurt on MOC-Floyd Valley with a sharp 6-0 victory on Monday. Given Western Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while MOC-Floyd Valley are ranked 42nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Western Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
