Soccer Game Preview: Carson vs. Banning

The Carson Colts are taking a road trip to challenge the Banning Pilots at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Carson is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against San Pedro on Friday. Carson lost 3-0 to San Pedro. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Pirates are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Banning was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They came up short against San Pedro, falling 4-0. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Pilots it sure didn't stay that way.

Carson's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Banning, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.
