Recap: Alliance Bloomfield Bulls vs. Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares
Even though the Alliance Bloomfield Bulls have not done well against the Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Alliance Bloomfield's way against Academia Avance as Alliance Bloomfield made off with a 44-20 win. The win was familiar territory for Alliance Bloomfield who now have three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Academia Avance had strong showings from Leslie Velasquez, who scored ten points, and Stacey Guerrero, who scored five points along with six rebounds. Velasquez scored a full 50% of Academia Avance's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Academia Avance were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Alliance Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Academia Avance, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
