Baseball Recap: Winslow Comes Up Short

Winslow had lost 15 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-16 to make it 16. They lost 11-1 to the Snowflake Lobos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Winslow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Knight, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

As for Snowflake, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

On Snowflake's side, Curtis Hollom spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. Hollom has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Maverick Greer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Edge Bryant, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winslow will welcome Bourgade Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Snowflake, they will host Alchesay at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
