Baseball Game Preview: Mitchell County Eagles vs. Sumter County Panthers

The Mitchell County Eagles will challenge the Sumter County Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mitchell County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Mitchell County fell victim to Southwest Georgia STEM Charter and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to the Aggies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Mitchell County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Murray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sumter County came up short against Monroe on Monday, falling 11-5. The Panthers have struggled against the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sumter County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mitchell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
