Baseball Recap: East Jackson Comes Up Short

East Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Franklin County Lions, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-3 defeat last Tuesday.

East Jackson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hanseong Kang, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Franklin County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. East Jackson is set to face off against their familiar foe Hart County at 5:55 p.m. on the 14th. Meanwhile, Franklin County will take on rival Stephens County at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.8, the Indians 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
