Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Pasadena). Their defense stepped up to hand the Blair Vikings a 6-0 shutout on Friday. Kaia Trainedes was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

South Pasadena pushed their record up to 6-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Blair, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which is still a better percentage than their 1-6-2 record this season.

South Pasadena is taking a road trip to challenge La Canada at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blair, they will venture away from home to face off against San Marino at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. San Marino's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
