Griffith proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington Township Senators, sneaking past 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Senators: they've now won seven in a row.

Jason Quillin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Anthony Feliciano, who went 1-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Griffith's record now sits at 9-12. As for Washington Township, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17-1.

Coincidentally, Griffith and Washington Township will both be playing Calumet Christian the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Senators will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
