Basketball Recap: Oak Ridge Comes Up Short

Oak Ridge and Folsom squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Oak Ridge had to settle for second. They lost to the Folsom Bulldogs on the road by a 61-42 margin. The Trojans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Despite the loss, Oak Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leah Harris posted 12 points. Ella Cottrell was another key player, putting up eight points.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Folsom, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Oak Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-52 loss against Clovis on the 4th. As for Folsom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-53 defeat against McClatchy on the 28th.
