Soccer Game Preview: Clovis vs. Clovis East

The Clovis Cougars will challenge the Clovis East Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Clovis and Clovis North finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Clovis East hadn't beaten Clovis West on the road since January 18, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Timberwolves had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Clovis East's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Clovis West are ranked 286th).

Clovis East hit Clovis West with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Naranjo, Christian Thoa, and Francisco Damas.

Clovis East's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-2. Clovis' draw makes their record 15-2-5 this season.
