Spring Grove has gone 8-2 against Mabel-Canton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will challenge the Cougars. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Spring Grove sitting on four straight wins and Mabel-Canton on ten.

Spring Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-20 victory over Wabasha-Kellogg.

Spring Grove found their leader in sophomore Kya Peterson, who rushed for 114 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 103 yards on eight of 17 attempts.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Spring Grove proved: they limited Wabasha-Kellogg to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The Lions didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

Meanwhile, Mabel-Canton faced LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 29-20 win over LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli.

Spring Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Mabel-Canton, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
