Baseball Game Preview: Bureau Valley Storm vs. Hall Red Devils

Bureau Valley hasn't had much luck against Hall recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Storm will be playing at home against the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. Bureau Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, Bureau Valley made easy work of Milledgeville and carried off an 8-1 win. Considering the Storm have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Hall and St. Bede, and St. Bede kept the tradition alive. The Red Devils fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Devils have suffered since April 23rd.

Brody Bosi was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Hall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geno Ferrari, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9-1. As for Bureau Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
