Western Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bellevue West Thunderbirds on Friday. The Wolfpack were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Thunderbirds, so the Wolfpack were just returning the favor.

Western Christian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Bellevue West is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Western Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Marian on the 29th. As for Bellevue West, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lincoln East on the 29th.
