Northern got themselves on the board against McDonough on Thursday, but McDonough never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rams 40-0. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Northern to victory were Blake Pasik and Ron Mooney. Pasik threw for 245 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt, while Mooney rushed for 140 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. Caleb Jones was Pasik's top target, picking up 93 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Northern's defense and their ten sacks. Leading the way was Gavin Jones with five.

Northern's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for McDonough, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Northern is headed away from home for the first time to face off against North Point at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for McDonough, they will welcome Huntingtown at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
