Softball Recap: Shiloh Comes Up Short

Decatur hit Shiloh with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Generals lost 12-2 to the Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Generals in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Shiloh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayanna Erby, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Erby has hit this season.

Shiloh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Decatur, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Shiloh and Decatur will both be playing Arabia Mountain the next time they take the field. The Generals will head out to face the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
