Soccer Game Preview: Garces Memorial vs. Centennial

The Garces Memorial Rams will face off against the Centennial Golden Hawks at 10:20 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Garces Memorial's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Shafter 5-0. Makenzie Walker had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Rams.

Meanwhile, Centennial was able to grind out a solid victory over Taft on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. That's two games straight that the Golden Hawks have won by exactly two goals.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Garces Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Garces Memorial beat Centennial by a goal when the teams last played back in February, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garces Memorial since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
