Football Recap: Redwood Valley's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Redwood Valley was riding high fresh off their 44-8 takedown of Paynesville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Eagles are ranked 29th).

Brayden Becker produced another solid effort picking up 67 receiving yards and three TDs for Eden Valley-Watkins.

Having lost for the first time this season, Redwood Valley fell to 3-1. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Redwood Valley will face off against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, they will take on St. Cloud Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
