Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hononegah). They really took it to the Freeport Pretzels for the full four quarters, racking up a 38-8 victory. With the Indians ahead 28-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Hononegah had a senior duo take command as Tyler Banker rushed for 89 yards and four scores on only 12 carries and Drew Shockley rushed for 89 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Hononegah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Jarvis, Mykell Mueller, and Alex Peterson picked up one apiece.

Hononegah now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Freeport, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Coming up, Hononegah will head out to challenge Rockford East at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the E-Rabs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Freeport, they will host Harlem at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Pretzels' offense will have their work cut out for them.
