Soccer Game Preview: Rubidoux vs. Patriot

Rubidoux is 0-6 against Patriot since December of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rubidoux Falcons will square off against the Patriot Warriors at 5:00 p.m.

Rubidoux is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Jurupa Valley, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1089th, while the Jaguars are ranked 477th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Patriot made sure to put some goals up on the board against Norte Vista on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Braves a 4-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Patriot is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Rubidoux, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16-2.

Rubidoux might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Patriot in their previous meeting on January 9th. Can Rubidoux avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
