Basketball Recap: Kennedy Whyte Key Part of a Team Effort in Mustangs Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Ramon Valley, Monte Vista was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 59-33 margin over the Foothill Falcons. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Monte Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Whyte, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave Whyte a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Naliyah Sefidi, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten steals.

Monte Vista's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Foothill, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.
