Softball Recap: Arvada Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Arvada barely beat Middle Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 25-10 margin over the Panthers on Saturday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by nine runs or more this season.

Alyssa Moreno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Moreno was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Amiah Picaso was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. Abby Lopez was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Arvada pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Middle Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coming up, Arvada will welcome Forge Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middle Park, they will challenge Bennett at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
