Softball Recap: Northwest Whitfield Takes a Loss

Northwest Whitfield fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Gilmer on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Bruins just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Northwest Whitfield's record now sits at 7-17. As for Gilmer, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northwest Whitfield will challenge rival Adairsville at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gilmer is set to square off against their familiar foe Ridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
