Baseball Recap: Jenkins Warriors vs. Johnson Atomsmashers
Jenkins entered their tilt with Johnson on Thursday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Johnson Atomsmashers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 last Tuesday.
Sam Best looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).
On the hitting side, Marquis Bush was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Jenkins is undefeated when Bush posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Brian Swinton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
