Baseball Recap: South Paulding Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for South Paulding's offense. They fell just short of the Habersham Central Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since February 16th.

South Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Habersham Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

South Paulding will be playing in front of their home fans against Lithia Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Habersham Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-10 victory against Prince Avenue Christian on the 21st.
