Soccer Recap: San Mateo Comes Up Short

San Mateo and Fremont squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but San Mateo had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Fremont Firebirds by a score of 2-1. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Bearcats couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Shannon Lim, who's now up to 11 this season.

San Mateo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Fremont, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

As of now, neither San Mateo nor Fremont have any future games scheduled.
