Baseball Recap: Denmark Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Denmark's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Alpharetta Raiders. This was a revenge game for Denmark: when they faced off against Alpharetta last Monday, they had to take a 9-2 defeat.

Sebastein Walsh tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Denmark's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Althardt, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Denmark hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Denmark has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Alpharetta, their record is now 7-22.

Denmark will have a chance to go back-to-back against Alpharetta: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
