Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial's last matchup with Cambridge could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Knights came up short against the Bears, falling 10-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Centennial got a good showing from Brad Foust, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Foust has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Chen, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Brenden Vo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Cambridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12-1.

While Centennial had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
