Southwood waltzed into their match on Saturday with 17 straight wins... but they left with 18. They came out on top against the Kokomo Wildkats by a score of 2-0. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildkats, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Southwood was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12.

Alexis Lopez paced Southwood's offense, picking up seven kills. Lopez got some help from Adi Deaton and her 19 assists. Shania Rhamy controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Southwood's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Kokomo, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Southwood has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Fort Wayne Northrop on the 4th. As for Kokomo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mississinewa on the 4th.
