Baseball Game Preview: Southwest DeKalb Panthers vs. Tucker Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwest DeKalb Panthers take on Tucker Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tucker took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Southwest DeKalb, who comes in off a win.

Southwest DeKalb played against Clarkston on Monday and won via forfeit.

Tucker is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They lost 13-3 to Northview.

Tucker saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alec Waller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Waller is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Tucker's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Southwest DeKalb, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Southwest DeKalb suffered a grim 18-3 defeat to Tucker when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can Southwest DeKalb avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
