Soccer Recap: Santa Paula Takes a Loss

Santa Paula was the 3-2 winner over Fillmore when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Santa Paula Cardinals lost 4-1 to the Fillmore Flashes on Friday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Paula's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Fillmore, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1-1.

After both having extra time off, Santa Paula and Carpinteria will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Fillmore, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Malibu at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
