Soccer Game Preview: Indianola vs. Waukee

The Indianola Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Waukee Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Indianola is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Dallas Center-Grimes just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Waukee has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 12th. They fell just short of Southeast Polk by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Waukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Southeast Polk are ranked 31st).

Indianola's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Waukee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Indianola came up short against Waukee in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
