Softball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

If Woodland was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Walker on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Cartersville Hurricanes on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost six in a row.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Cartersville, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

While Woodland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
