Soccer Game Preview: White County vs. Banks County

White County is a perfect 4-0 against Banks County since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out to square off against the Leopards at 7:00 p.m. White County's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

White County took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Dawson County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 3-2. That's two games straight that White County have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Banks County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Towns County. While losing is never fun, Banks County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Towns County are ranked 203rd).

White County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matches. As for Banks County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

White County took their victory against Banks County in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
