Softball Recap: Coon Rapids-Bayard Drops Highest Score of Season Against Boyer Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coon Rapids-Bayard). They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Boyer Valley Bulldogs on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Coon Rapids-Bayard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Boyer Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Coon Rapids-Bayard will take on Glidden-Ralston at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Boyer Valley has already played their next contest (against St. Mary's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
