Basketball Recap: Desert Heights Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Desert Heights Prep didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 73-57 win over the Ray Bearcats on Saturday. The Yote pushed the score to 63-41 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bearcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Ray saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Seth Wade posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Chester, who earned ten points.

The victory was the third in a row for Desert Heights Prep, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. As for Ray, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Ray is facing St. Michael at the right time seeing as St. Michael is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
