Baseball Recap: Shaw Comes Up Short

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Shaw was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They came up short against the Calvary Christian Knights, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Shaw saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Lovett, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Shaw will take on Northside at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will square off against Lincoln-Way West at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln-Way West will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Calvary Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
