Baseball Game Preview: Murdock Blue Devils vs. Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings

Murdock is 0-5 against Nashoba Valley Tech since April of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Murdock will be strutting in after a win while Nashoba Valley Tech will be coming in after a defeat.

Murdock is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Southbridge 11-9.

Murdock let Quinn Brimhall and Levi Woertz run wild. Brimhall went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Woertz went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those three hits gave Woertz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mikey Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Nashoba Valley Tech fell victim to Somerville and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 11-0.

Nashoba Valley Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Murdock, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.
