The Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Port Neches-Groves sitting on eight straight victories and Montgomery on seven.

Port Neches-Groves lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Nederland, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Indians breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 49-17 on Friday. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery got themselves on the board against West Fork on Thursday, but West Fork never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 52-0 win over the Gators. That looming 52-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Port Neches-Groves, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Port Neches-Groves didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Montgomery when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bears' Reggie Williams, who rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 70 yards and one TD.
