Basketball Recap: Redbank Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Redbank Valley won the last time they faced Clarion-Limestone and Adyson Bond did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 61-40 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Bond, who shot 72% from the field to rack up 33 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The win was the third in a row for Redbank Valley, bringing their record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points on average over those games. As for Clarion-Limestone, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Redbank Valley will take on Karns City in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarion-Limestone and Punxsutawney will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
