It was a good run, but Westmont Hilltop unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McCort Crushers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 67-63 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Westmont Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bishop McCort, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bishop Carroll the next time they take the court. Bishop McCort will host Bishop Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Westmont Hilltop will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
