Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. River Valley Panthers
The Marion Center Stingers lost against the River Valley Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Marion Center took a 34-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of River Valley. Marion Center has not had much luck with River Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
River Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emilee Staats, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Persichetti, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Marion Center's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5. As for River Valley, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
Marion Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for River Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Portage will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something River Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
