Omaha Westside put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Douglas County West Falcon. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 11-4 win the Falcon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Hannah Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Taryn Lewis was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Omaha Westside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Omaha Westside's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Omaha Westside has already played their next matchup, an 8-6 win against Waverly on the 23rd. As for Douglas County West, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Plattsmouth on the 22nd.
