Baseball Recap: New Hampstead Comes Up Short

New Hampstead fell victim to Warner Robins and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons. The Phoenix just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Ryder Lane put in work no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

New Hampstead now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Warner Robins, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Warner Robins beat New Hampstead by a score of 14-3 later that day.
