Softball Game Preview: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Roswell Hornets

For the second straight game, Dunwoody will face off against Roswell. The Wildcats will host the Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunwoody is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.

Dunwoody is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Roswell by a score of 10-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Anslie Worley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Vivian Curry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaz McLoughlin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 20 consecutive games.

Roswell's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Dunwoody, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-7 record.
