Baseball Recap: Stratford Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stratford Academy entered their tilt with Citizens Christian Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 10-5. Ten seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Stratford Academy let Bobby Wooten and Jett Johnston run wild. Wooten scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Johnston scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Johnston a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Johnston, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Stratford Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Stratford Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Citizens Christian Academy: the pair will be back at it again later today.
