Baseball Recap: Scholars Guild Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Scholars Guild Academy can now relate to. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinecrest Academy Paladins on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Paladins this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-3 loss on Monday.

Scholars Guild Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Pittman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Pittman has become a key player for the Spartans: the team is 16-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

Scholars Guild Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-10. As for Pinecrest Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Scholars Guild Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinecrest Academy, they will take on Creekside Christian Academy on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Paladins surely won't give up without a fight.
